Why does my car pull to the left or right?
Pulling usually comes from tires, alignment, or brakes.
Most likely causes
- Uneven tire pressure. The easiest thing to check.
- Wheel alignment. Often after hitting a pothole or curb.
- Sticking brake caliper. Pulls more when braking.
- Worn suspension parts. Can cause wandering too.
Simple things to check
- Check all four tire pressures
- Notice if it pulls only when braking
When to stop driving
If the steering feels loose or clunks, get it inspected before driving far.
